Scope of Work to Be Done By The Minster Machine Company:

·      INSPECTION

Inventory components. Disassemble completely Steam clean all components

Visually Inspect frame, slide & crown for cracks. Penetrant test suspect areas Penetrant inspect connection(s) and adjusting screws for fractures.

Check bearing cap locators & mating surfaces for proper fit. Inspect bores for size and roundness.

·        FRAME & CROWN

-        Replace Bolster Plate, machine per customer’s specifications

-        Remachine or hone if necessary all bearing bores for alignment and concentricity within.

-        Machine/Scrape bed & frame flat & square to gibs/ways within .0005”Ift.

-        CRANKSHAFT

-        Clean & polish shaft and test with MagnaFlux

-        Machine for new 2” stroke

-        Replace main bearings. (.001”Iin. dia. clearance)

·   DRIVETRAIN

-        Replace drive belts

-        Repair drive motor

-        Replace flywheel bearings

-         Clean & inspect air clutch remove glaze from linings - replace springs and seals studs

-           Replace Brake frictions

·       RAM & CONNECTIONS

-      Machine/Scrape ram, gibs & ways angularity & parallelism to within .0005”/ft

-      Replace connection bearings (.001”/in dia. Clearance)
-      Refit connection bushing, wrist pin & connection screw (.001” - .003” total clearance)

 

-       Disassemble, clean & inspect ram adjusting mechanism. Replace all taper roller bearings & seals

·       LUBE SYSTEM

-    Clean, inspect & repair lube system.

-    Provide & install new lube pump & motor

-          Provide & install new lube orifices

-          Replace lube lines

·      PNEUMATICS

-                      Inspect counterbalance cylinders. Replace packings & seals.

-                      Rebuild flywheel brake assembly.

-                      Replace air lines & fittings

-                      New filter, lubricator and LOX valve. Replace regulators for clutch & counterbalance

-                      New rotary air distributor

·      RE-ASSEMBLY & PAINT

-      Re-stack press and stress tie rods to factory specifications (.0083” I ft)

-      Clean, prep & paint machine to customer’s specification

-      Re-assemble and adjust machine

-      Test run and debug


·    GUARDS & MISC.

-         Install press warning labels

-         Document all dimensional checks

-         Load for shipment

The Press Control/Motor Starter Console System is a combination solid state clutch/brake press control integrated with motor controls to provide a complete press control package.

MOTOR STARTER PORTION:

-  NEMA 12 Enclosure: 24” freestanding console

-  Fused disconnect and Fused control transformer

-  Main Motor Starter and Lube motor starter

-  Push to Test “Ground Fault Indicator” located in large enclosure
